once again it was a shitshow of a christmas with the holmes family. the kids got the most presents, no big surprise there. i got some great stuff though. here’s a sampling:

*cactuses/cacti from miss h.
*ikea goodies from miss h. and miss k.
*gorgeous earrings from katy’s mum.
and some more goodies from various people. all in all, a good haul.
spent some time with dad on christmas eve day. that was nice. he loved my grad pictures that i gave him. made him really happy. spent christmas eve with katy’s fam, then ty for dinner, then church with hols, then back to katy’s. then spent the nite at mom’s. christmas was spent at home, then off to carlo’s mum’s, then granny’s where i had an excellent nap. passed out on the floor first, then moved to the couch lol. then off home to open prezzies with katy. i enjoyed the day overall. every year christmas feels more and more just like another day, only a little busier and with presents.
no big plans for new year’s. it’s just another day really. might just go to bed at 1030 lol. might head off to the dickens. who knows? no one else has mentioned any big plans.

Time for presents and food and family fun! w00t!
it’s going to be a long day today, and for some unknown reason, i am awake right now. i was awake at 8am. gross.
so at noon i have to go to my dad’s for our christmas celebration. then at around 3, go with katy to her mom’s for a little bit. around 430 i’m going for dinner with tyler. and at 630 i’m off to church with holly p. then home for the night it’s gonna be nuts. but it’s gonna be fun.
last nite i went to see movin’ out - the billy joel musical. it was pretty good. definitely not what i was expecting. there was no speaking. the dancers on stage acted everything out while a guy and the band were up above singing the songs and playing the piano. it was nice to see, but not sure that i would see it again.
so it’s christmas tomorrow. another crazy day. spending tonite at my mom’s so that i’m already there to open presents bright and early. then off to mississauga for brunch with carlo’s family at his mom’s. then back to b-town to my grandmothers to open presents and have dinner.
i enjoy christmas, but i find the older i get, the less importance it seems to have in my life. it’s just another day, only on this day, you give gifts. i’m by no means religious, but is this all the holiday is about anymore? who can buy the biggest/coolest/most desired present? it’s nuts.
now if you’ll excuse me, i’m going to go and listen to some billy joel!
