let’s take over the world.

so here’s the plan of attack for friday. better get your sleep thursday nite!!

1. head to ribfest around 630-7pm. if parking is nowhere to be found, we can park at my grandparents 10min away and walk.
2. head to the dickens for a while.
3. head to 54 for a while until jordo gets off work.
4. pick up kev-man!
5. head to bowling at burlington bowl until 4am.
6. chill out at tim horton’s (walkers & mainway) and get some much needed caffeine.
7. head to burly beach to check out the sunrise at 6:45am.
8. breakfast at angel’s in waterdown.
9. go home and sleeeeeeeeep!!

let’s see how many people actually make it through the nite! nothing like spending 12 solid hours with a bunch of friends! everyone is welcome to join, bring friends! i’ll be driving as i won’t be drinking at all. call dibs on a spot in my car now. everyone needs this last blowout nite before the summer is over. let’s do it up!

it started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?

so i start school again in a little over a week. i’m not sure how i feel about that. i won’t know until next thursday when i walk into a classroom for the first time in two years. it’s scary, i won’t lie. and putting quite the dent in my bank account. $5100 in tuition for a year, $304 for a parking pass (robbery!!), about $500 for books for first semester, $35 in school supplies, and the list goes on. taking a month off from work proved to not be such a great idea financially, but it’s helped me out mentally a little. it’s nice to have the time to get everything done. come september i will be going to school full time (fridays off! woot!), but i also need to find a job. so it looks like i’m going to be a very busy girl for the next couple of years. i’m excited to get going on my future career path though.

how come everytime i tell someone i’m taking english their response is, “teacher?” is that the only profession available to someone who gets a degree in english? i’m going to start telling people that i’m taking it to become the person who shoots chickens at airplane windows to test for the strength of the glass.

i’ve been thinking a lot lately about the past, mostly because not working affords me the time to spend hours on end thinking. i’ve moved on a lot from the demons of my past. don’t get me wrong, i would give anything to turn back the clock and fix a certain mistake, but i’ve come to terms with the fact that this isn’t possible so i need to move forward instead of constantly looking back. words of wisdom from sex and the city, “when your past is your present, how can you look towards the future?” i will move on. onward and upward! i think of the past now with a smile on my face. this is quite the change from a few short months ago. my past has shaped me into who i am today. i might not always be glad of who i am today, but for the most part i am. i think i’ve turned out quite alright, mullet and all! haha….here’s to a new car, a new hairstyle, a new education, and a bright, new future.

honestly, who throws an egg?

another birthday come and gone. now i’m 24. ugh.

overall it was a pretty decent birthday. had breakfast with dad, then had dinner with the girls and headed off to the dickens. jack astor’s was fun times. the staff brought me dessert and made me stand on my chair giving my rendition of “i’m a little teapot” while they sang their birthday version of the song. we all know how much i love making an ass out of myself in public.

the dickens was alright. didn’t get too drunk. however, i watched my friends get trashed while they had chugging competitions. that was entertaining.

tiff and myself went back to chris & mark’s appartment after the bar. during the walk there, i got egged. happy freaking birthday, have an egg on you. luckily it only hit me in the foot instead of in the face or something. but i was wearing my favourite wedge sandals so my foot got rather gooey. funny to everyone but the birthday girl here.

the birthday festivities end tonite with dinner with the family. should be fun.

thanks to everyone for the presents and happy birthday wishes. only 364 days until i’m a quarter of a century old. ugh.
